Travel
Our booking staff are able to give advice about travel arrangements but it is the
responsibility of the person making the booking to make those arrangements and to
book any necessary tickets in good time.
We only accept responsibility for the care of the guest once they arrive at Trevanion
House or are met after arrival on train, coach or plane. Similarly, once they have
boarded the transport at the end of the holiday they cease to be in our care.
It is a good idea that guests travelling independently are given guidance or help
in packing so that they do not bring luggage which is too heavy for them to handle.
We cannot be responsible for loading or unloading luggage and you should bear in
mind that, at Bodmin Parkway, there is a staircase to access the up platform. Wheelchair
users need to make arrangements with the train company to be escorted across the
line - this usually also means allowing extra time at the station.
Some guests are escorted during the journey by staff or carers who then return on
a later train. Please allow sufficient time between arrival and departure, especially
as trains may be delayed. At least an hour is advised.
